India Manali to Leh Highway Tips

Come and bicycles can be zoom in Manali announcement at the beginning of the season to drive Ladakh, a season that are only four and a half months before the mighty Himalayas, would take again covered with snow.
Each year, bikers from all over the world are planning to ride, ride what is considered one of the best tracks in the world, the 475 km-long Manali-Leh Highway named.
The road from Manali is from the month of June to mid-October. For almost half of its length it is over 13,000 feet. The route passes through five high altitude is. The terrain is so high and barren as have no permanent settlement. Infrastructural support is reduced to a minimum. No repair or service stations to Keylong, no pumps either. But this scenario on the Manali-Leh highway is the excitement of planning, adventure and happiness in riding and lifelong memories for the trip.
The plan
It can never be a perfect plan to drive on this highway, simply because the road conditions are different every year due to landslides, the amount of snowfall, melting glaciers and the progress of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to build an organization in support of the Army, whose task it is, and to maintain all access roads to Indian Borders.
Each individual or a group of bikers have their own plan for the Manali-Leh highway, some want to do it in one day, some in two days and no other specific plan.
Many bikers rush through this route, which is a crime. Manali-Leh should be done leisurely. Her first trip on this route is the best be, no matter how often you drive on this road then you can not just your first experience at this track. I have just listed a few pointers from my experience so that they help you could make the most out of the Manali-Leh highway.
Some drivers are planning a ride to Kanyakumari Khardung-La/Ladakh, which is the northern tip of the southern tip of India, or start drive to Manali from their respective cities.
I find the latter me is that I have saved ride 5-6 days to Manali from Mumbai to tun.Ich now think it is better to start the drive from Delhi and use as many days and I have money for Ladakh because that is the real deal and not go back and forth from home. This assumes, of course, for drivers who have a month or less time in hand, for the ride. What I'm saying, if you limited days in hand to plan in such a way that most days are spent in the mountains. Place the bike on the train to Delhi or Chandigarh and from there to "start" for Manali. There is no point wasting days away from the mountains and riding in the plane, unless, that is what you really want.
Manali
Once in Manali, make sure you rest for at least a day to not only check on the bike, but also because acclimatize to the high. Manali is a popular Hill Station in the summers so filled with weekenders and tourists from all over India. It is better to start early in the morning to avoid the tourist traffic (7-8 Clock). That would mean filling up on fuel, checking air pressure, etc., last night.
Manali-Leh Highway, the
is a roller coaster ride of high mountain passes, bad roads, landslides, collapsed bridges is melting glaciers and what not. So no fault to ride it for 475 km on a normal road and a single day. Manali-Leh to me should be in three days, if not done more. Remember, you have to help with acute Mountain sickness (AMS) deal. As soon as one leaves
Manali, Rohtang Pass to start climbing. After 52 km of the continuous rise to reach Rohtang Pass Rohtang after, the road descends into the valley, and then by Chandra Khoksar Tandi, where the river meets the river Chandra Bhaga.
Tandi is the only town on Manali-Leh highway, which has a gas station. The nearest gas station is 365 km away in Leh. Interestingly, the pump is heard through Lahul potato farmers Co-operative Society (since the region is part of the ancient trade route, potatoes from the Lahaul Valley played an important role in the barter and trade with the natives of Zanskar and Changthang). This is history, but today you have to fill up at gas pump Potato and lead extra / spare fuel for the make, tank capacity and mileage of the motorcycle. It is recommended that extra fuel, since most of the time, a lower in the corridors is to ride and perform under frequent attacks, and the quality of gasoline is not guaranteed.
First day of the stop
Jispa, Keylong or Darcha, all about 35 km from each other by Tandi. Jispa has a huge luxury hotel. Keylong, the only major town on Manali-Leh highway has less luxurious but practical hotels and guesthouses. Darcha (where I normally Residence) is a temporary tentship where you get the opportunity to interact with locals, listen to the Bhaga river flow, the experience in the heat and cold morning and perform tasks outdoors.
Jispa is luxury, Keylong, the only major town on Manali-Leh Highway is a temporary camp is set Darcha by locals, can you make your selection.
Some drivers stretch the first day's journey to the other Sarchu tent accommodation and 120 km is Darcha. But I like to Sarchu for the next day driving a pleasure to enjoy my trip to hold.
Day 2
maintenance Sarchu on, only 120 km in the trip from Darcha. But the small distance is a pure delight to the bad roads, rivers, frost, breathtaking landscapes and of course, headaches from the AMS.
To achieve Sarchu, you have to cross Baralacha-La Pass to 16,500 feet. Baralacha-La is the place where most travelers encounter the symptoms of AMS, usually accompanied by headache, nausea, dizziness and vomiting. You also need to countless thousands of streams with ice-cold water from snow-capped mountains.
The street in front Sarchu is also the worst patch on Manali-Leh highway in a given year and untamed rivers with maximum on the road.
After descending from Baralacha-La (actually the entire Manali-Leh Ride is up and down hit by a move to the other) you get a small tented accommodation in Bharatpur receive and then at Sarchu, where tents have a high profile attach toilets very basic tents set up by locals.
lot of travelers crossing Sarchu and head for Pang, other temporary accommodation in tents, but I can not recommend it. To reach Pang you need passes for a further two high trail, Lach Lung-La-La and Naki. The 15 km of the road before Pang is also in poor condition. I hope you do not say, only 70 km, big deal! Apart from the human Body suffers from symptoms of AMS, the motorcycle is also under contract due to low oxygen levels.
Like all travelers, I too have a headache so I prefer to stay Sarchu and fall short of exaggerating symptoms of AMS and fatigue, and travel by two other high-altitude pass to Pang. No doubt, it can be done. But I suggest that Sarchu as an option because of headache and dizziness, I doubt if anyone to enjoy a ride. So why waste ride through beautiful countryside without attention to, just because you have more miles Pang and watches range?
Wherever stop the other night, at Sarchu or Pang - it will be a sleepless matter. A lot of twisting and turning in bed, hoping for an early sunrise. Come the dawn and the headache disappears mysteriously. The average human body is somewhat acclimatized now.
A night in Manali, second enroute Sarchu either Jispa, Keylong or Darcha and the third at Sarchu. The worst and the best part of Manali-Leh by :-) One more reason to choose Sarchu on Pang, because from now on, you will enjoy the trip to Leh without headaches or symptoms of AMS, that is, if you still follow the golden rule of spending less time on the high mountain passes and not over-exert.
Day 3
The best ride on Manali-Leh, even after Sarchu. After Sarchu, the State of Jammu and Kashmir, and soon begins the Gata Loops happen - a series of 21 hairpin bends Lift 1,500 feet higher. And soon after, it is followed by laughter Lung-La-La and Naki before you reach Pang.
The road to Pang rises to the multi-Plains, 42 km of well-paved road that is a welcome change. After the rise for more Plains Tanglang-La, the second highest motorable pass starts at 17 582 feet. This is the last pass on Manali-Leh highway. After descending Tanglang-La, small villages, green fields and "JULLEY!" - A salute to the Ladakhi language is to add life to the relative straight road to Leh.
teachers can comfortably at a leisurely pace from Sarchu achieved in a day, but some travelers extend the trip even further and stay in villages or tented accommodation after Tanglang-La descent. I envy them for the time they have in hand.
I mean Manali-Leh drive parts in three days, because that's the kind of riding I like, at a leisurely pace, not stretching a day's ride, so that the next day gets affected. I share them in a way that I have the maximum time on this beautiful stretch of Highway not worry about AMS enjoy. One can still do it in two days, but I do not see the fun. Manali-Leh Highway is tough, but that's the fun part, do not turn the fun into an adrenaline rush when you participate in a rally. Stop where ever you like, you enjoy every moment - there is no other street in the world that you expose such beauty that you are at loss for words. Do it solo or with a group of bikers you are comfortable with. Take it nice and easy in at least three days, especially when you are on the Manali-Leh highway for the first time. And of course ensure that on a motorcycle.
The best time to go to Manali-Leh Highway Manali Leh Highway
The is open to vehicular traffic only four and a half months. BRO begins snow removal and rebuilding bridges in May. This is the general practice but the opening of the road usually depends on the amount of snowfall in the region has received over the winter. Mid-June is a good time to start when you see snow on the passes, just as bone chilling experience cold and rough ride on patches. In July-August, snow on the peaks is less; BRO would cause most of the shares have repaired on the highway and the temperature bearable. By early September, the road is in almost perfect State. But all the above applies for a normal season, with no sudden change of weather, which is not the case every year, and that's the best part. This is where adventure comes in the travel and that makes every mile on the 475 km Manali-Leh an experience of a lifetime.
Trip Essentials
A list of things contribute to a motorcycle varies from person to person, I am stating the basics. One can add to his / her style or habit.
Clothing: Thermals, gloves, socks and balaclavas are a must to combat the cold. Instead of a single layer of thick clothing for 2-3 thin layers of clothing to go.
I would also suggest rain gear. It not only saves the wind and makes for an extra layer, but despite being deprived of a high altitude region of precipitation, it has occasionally rain Manali-Leh. Rain gear in such cases, a lifesaver.
always waterproof your luggage. Apart from water, it also keeps the dust and mud.
Crossing the streams with the freezing cold running water is fun for some, but annoying for others, but it is an experience nighmarish continue after getting her feet soaked in ice-cold water. To counter this, either a spare pair of shoes that you can wear after the first pair is saturated or remove your shoes when crossing the stream. If you remove your shoes to go walking with the bike, rather than to select by the current to only avoid injury.

monument of eternal love

The great Taj Mahal has no words to express, because it is an incredible monument built by a king for his queen, a husband for his wife. His love makes the statue stand tall among all the other sites, even after 350 years and more. Visiting the people around the world tour to Agra, India Taj Mahal to think about beauty in its history.

To the knowledge of history that we come from, why the Taj Mahal is the best in the whole world. It can not be reused built. The story behind the Taj Mahal was unique and can be seen only in movies. The question remains, "Is there a Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal in contemporary life and age, would love each other so much?"

The answer can be yes. But let's you know the whole story of the Taj for the same.

begins the story: Prince Khurram Bano Begum Arjumand was engaged when she was 14 years old and he was 15 years old. They had to wait 5 years for the marriage as per the dates given by the court astrologers.

Shah Jahan Mumtaz Mahal was after 5 years in 1612 AD

married Mumtaz Mahal was his support in all aspects of the operation, the family and in all other aspects that used by the emperor. She followed him in every campaign and was an evergreen companion for him. Although she was pregnant she often always supported him throughout his life, battles and finally in 1628 AD, the emperor Shah Jahan of Agra. The great victory of Shah Jahan was his great talent and the love and support of his wife. It is actually said that "behind every successful man is a woman."

Shah Jahan where the Mughal family also had other women, but he had deep affection and love for Mumtaz Mahal, the most beautiful woman and support. After 2 years of his reign as Emperor of Agra, Mumtaz Mahal was sick when she followed him on Burhanpur for a military campaign. More than her health, she thought it necessary to support her husband. Even if she was sent to the family to assist her husband in all his Mughal battles that it was all the time.

During birth to her 14th Child, she fell seriously ill. Even after her the best treatment that could not survive. On her deathbed she asked her beloved husband a few Promises that are fulfilled after their death. One such promise was the construction of this beautiful monument, the Taj Mahal. The meaning is "The Crown Palace" or it may be in the name of Mumtaz Mahal as well. Shah Jahan had it before, "called the grave of Mumtaz Mahal" as Roza-e-Mumtaz Mahal importance.

The story continues: The story does not end here. The fidelity of Shah Jahan for his wife is the main reason, and the answer behind this great beauty. He loved his wife so much that after her death he became ill because of the grief. He isolated himself for about 2 years old and grew rapidly. It is said that he crying when he and his wife's grave to visit. For months after its Death he was still in mourning and with a broken heart. He had white hair and beard and started frequently ill.

The construction of the Taj Mahal took years to complete and Shah Jahan patient was 22 years until it was completed. He had been the best for this memorial because he wanted to give the best memory of his wife. He chose marble instead of a normal stone, and went for the wealth of his kingdom in the construction of this monument. This is not just enough. He did not remarry after her death, as he had promised Mumtaz Mahal, that he takes care of her 14 children to take and not neglect.

All the beauty of Shah Jahan's love for his Woman can be seen in the Taj Mahal. The moon makes the Taj more beautiful and the river Yamuna tells his story to all of you who come to banks. Is not it amazing that the love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal is still alive and still speaks in the white marble beauty. The true story never ends, even if Shah Jahan was buried next to his wife after his death. The story goes on, even at this age.

The story never ends: People tell each other about the amazing love story, we discuss when we think about love Shah Jahan for his wife. When people see it they come to see the love of Shah Jahan for his beloved wife. "One drop telling in the face of time "break, the Taj Mahal, is still standing tall all of the love of the King and Queen. The question remains in our mind. Was Shah Jahan which only one or is there still such Shah Jahan, the his wife would love, so deep and infinite and eternal? Was Mumtaz Mahal the only or is there still such Mumtaz Mahal, to assist her husband in all aspects and would love him?

Have we Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal in today's time? Finally, the answer is that the love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal has always succeeded, it is still even in this age of life.
