The Hahnentor

This gate, "nova porta", has a Overhead clearance of 8 meters and a width of 6m. Around 1880 Hahnentor the demolition of the entire city fortifications were excluded, so that it remains as a memento of that time. 1880 Hahnentor a historical museum was built. After the destruction in World War II has been completely restored. Today, the Hahnentor an exhibition center for young Cologne artists.

This gate, Which Was Called "nova porta", has a height of 8 m and a width of 6 m. In about 1880 the city wall was demolished, except the "Hahnentor", in order to remind of the Roman days. Today this gate is a place for young painters to expose their works.
